Phillies’ Offense Takes Control, Pounds Brewers
                                 The Phillies offense, led by shortstop Jimmy Rollins , 1st baseman Ryan Howard and 3rd baseman Pedro Feliz, broke open Thursday’s opener with the  Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth inning by pounding Jeff Suppan for 6 runs while rookie lefthander J.A. Cubs eager to see what Colvin can do
Tyler Colvin’s parents will be staying up late this weekend. The young outfielder is expected to get a lot of playing time in the Cubs’ final 11 games, beginning with a four-game series in San Francisco that starts Thursday. Blalock plates four as Texas gains ground
Five days ago, Rangers manager Ron Washington decided to put Hank Blalock back in the lineup.
